After a brief and intentional pause, Sacred Life Academy is reopening its public rhythm with a two-evening online celebration.

These gatherings mark the return of daily reflections, shared work, and the opening rhythm for classes and community. Attendance at both evenings is not required. There will be giveaways at the midpoint and end of each evening based on participation through reactions, comments, and questions.

Sacred Life Academy is a place to inquire, learn, receive offerings, participate, reflect, and transform. It is a space for encountering the living presence of the divine across traditions and for exploring one’s personal journey with the Sacred as it arises within and alongside Religious, Spiritual, Philosophical, and Cultural traditions.

Our mission is to welcome all who sincerely seek to know the sacred. We nurture awareness through education, reflection, and lived practice, empowering each person to walk their path as a traveler within existing traditions and through their own personal connection to the Sacred.

Sacred Life Academy brings creativity, compassion, and understanding into the shared experience of divine life.

Sacred Life Academy Level 1 Inquiry

Level 1: Foundational Orientation & Meaning is the required entry Inquiry for Sacred Life Academy. It is designed for individuals seeking clarity in how religion, spirituality, and the sacred are understood, encountered, and lived.

This Inquiry focuses on:

🔔 Core definitions, orientations, and inclinations related to religion and spirituality

🔔 The ways these orientations take form through belief, practice, and community

🔔 The Questions of Ultimate Concern, approached through guided individual reflection on how these questions are personally experienced, answered, or left open

The Inquiry also introduces how knowledge is approached within Sacred Life Academy, including the philosophical and phenomenological perspective that informs further study. Completion of this Inquiry provides the orientational grounding from which all subsequent Inquiries and Seminars proceed.

Matching the information provided in the Level 1 Inquiry this variation of the Inquiry is geared towards groups. Groups of more than 10 students can reach out to sacredlifeacademy@achievinglife.com to learn about opportunities for their members to all go through the Level 1 Inquiry together. 
In addition to the individual component this Inquiry adds group discussions and interactions among students as they go through each module. 

Sacred Life Academy Levels. 

These are progressive and it is required to complete Level 1 before being able to access them. 

Each Level 2 Inquiry focuses on looking into a Sacred Tradition through the Questions of Ultimate Concern. 
An example is the Inquiry: "A Look Into Christianity"

The Level 3 Inquiries focus on healthy dialogue between different traditions, the processes of starting encounters not of one tradition but of inter-tradition topics. 

The Level 4 Inquiries take the processes learned in Level 3 and apply them to learning about specific topics. 
An example of an Inquiry is: Sacred Numbers

The Level 5 is where the shift from Inquiries to Seminars takes place. The Seminars in Level 5 focus on expanded methodologies, approaches, variability, and analysis across and within traditions. 

Each Level 6 Seminar will confront tensions that may exist within and across Sacred traditions, beliefs, practices, community, and time. 
An example seminar: Reviewing Christian Reformation.

Each Level 7 Seminar is about integrating a chosen focus into a project. The seminars will cover additional components of critique, analysis, and goals of the students project. 

Each Level 8 is the project. The articulating of the project that was chosen in Level 7 combined with additional application is the core activity of this level.

Each Level 9 brings focused integrations of the project as well as furthers the understanding of 'Facilitating' growth.

Each Level 10 is the culmination of living and applying the idea of a Sacred Life beyond the project. An embodiment of the path.
